Polyvance High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic welding rod for welding HDPE plastic. This black, round-profile rod measures 1/8 in (3 mm) in diameter.

  • Package contains 30 ft (9.1 m) total: 30 rods, each 12 in (30 cm) long.
  • Works with airless, hot-air, and nitrogen plastic welders.
  • Rod diameter fits the standard welding tip of Polyvance's Mini-Weld Airless Plastic Welder.
  • Black pigment is added to help make repairs less visible on black plastic.

HDPE is used in automotive parts such as fluid reservoirs and fender liners, and in products such as kayaks, canoes, ATV fenders, and playground equipment. Polyvance notes that welding is the best method for repairing polyethylene because of its waxy texture.
